UCT is co-leading four of the 17 Africa–Europe Clusters of Research Excellence (CoRE), an initiative that will address head-on the inequity that has characterised research in relation to Africa, to the detriment of global science. These research clusters aim to reshape the way international collaboration is done, placing equity at the heart of excellent and impactful research to tackle shared societal challenges.
