On Wednesday, 30 November, Vice-Chancellor Professor Mamokgethi Phakeng hosted the UCT Annual Awards 2022, to honour exceptional individuals at UCT for their contributions through excellence and dedication in research, teaching and service.

UCT’s approach to promoting a better understanding of what it means to be human involves exploring various issues related to social justice, human rights, diversity and cultural expression.
