Ms Tshidi Mokgabudi

Tshidi Mokgabudi is a chartered accountant with 32 years of accounting, auditing and advisory experience within the public and private sectors. She was a member of the Audit Commission during President Mandela’s administration and a member of the South African Institute of Chartered Accountants’ (SAICA) ethics committee. She served on the University of the Witwatersrand’s Council and lectured at Vista University (now University of Johannesburg).

Mr Malcolm Campbell

Malcolm Campbell is a UCT alumnus, having obtained a BArch from the university in 1981. He also holds an MSc in economics in urban development planning from the University College of London.

Ms Nazeema Mohamed

Nazeema Mohamed currently serves as the recently appointed executive director of lnyathelo: The South African Institute for Advancement. She joined lnyathelo after working as a consultant and a stay-at-home mom for four years while her daughter had open-heart surgery, spine surgery and eye surgery. When time would allow, she worked as a diversity and inclusion facilitator for Emutihini and the Wits Institute for Cultural and Diversity Studies.

Mr Jacques Rousseau

Jacques Rousseau teaches critical thinking and ethics in UCT’s School of Management Studies, and is the chairperson of the Free Society Institute, a secular humanist non-profit organisation. He has been on the academic staff since 2001, during which time he has chaired the Academic Freedom Committee, and has also served, or is serving, on various committees including Senate and the Senate Executive Committee.

Mr Norman Arendse (SC)

Mr Arendse is a senior practising advocate and a member of the Cape and Johannesburg Bars. The senior counsel status was conferred upon him in 1998. He was a member of the previous UCT Council, serving on its executive committee and as chair of the then Naming of Buildings Committee.
